I’m a singer/songwriter originally from London, but now based in Eastleigh, Hampshire in the U.K. I’m a regular at most of the venues in Southampton and Hampshire. I’ve had great live success playing at The Brook, the Soul Cellar, The Talking Heads, The Hobbit, The Lounge Bar, Guava Bar and 90 Degrees as well as some of the smaller venues around the area. I’ve also recently played at The Bedford Arms, Miss Q’s and The Cuban bar in London. The Acoustic Club at Seend and the Folk club at Amberley have also hosted my performances and I was made very welcome and greatly enjoyed the experience.
I’ve been lucky enough to be featured on local BBC radio as well as some live sessions on BBC Radio Solent and BBC Southern counties and I’m due to record a session at Isle of Wight Radio in December. My music also crops up in some very odd places
I write all my own tunes and perform with my treasured 12 string acoustic guitar.
I also play a variety of other instruments including electric, acoustic and double bass, Spanish guitar, the Indian sitar, an African drum called a jembe, Tibetan singing bowls and a collection of other strange instruments form around the world.
Apart from The Vinyl Project I record all my albums at my home studio where I also produce podcasts, jingles and music for film and television.
My main influences are Jeff Buckley, Elvis Costello, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Rufus Wainwright and the great bass player, Jaco Pastorius.
I’ve been likened to Dallas Green, John Martyn, Nick Drake and Elvis Costello, but I like to think that I’ve developed my own distinctive sound. Not to everyones taste but I’m happy to say that I do get the odd great review, click here for one of them.
